Position Summary:

For this position, we seek proven experts in the area of public health practice and policy making who are interested in applying their skills towards strengthening health systems to respond to the high burden of neglected tropical diseases (NTDs) in low and mid-income countries. Experience in health practice, systems or policy related to major NTDs such as schistosomiasis, leishmaniasis, onchocerciasis, trypanosomiasis, dracunculiasis and filariasis is critical. Such will include direct knowledge of the workings of WHO/TDR, DNDi, and other global, regional and national institutions and Global Health Initiatives working on NTDs. The University has multi-disciplinary faculty engaged in robust research and practice on policy, supply chain, ethics and human rights, diagnostics and drug discovery on multiple levels in NTDs and other infectious diseases. The successful candidate will bring new dimensions and expand the existing efforts. We welcome applications from candidates from both academia and industry.

Qualifications:

A doctorate degree in a field related to Global Health, Antimicrobials, or Neglected Tropical Diseases, including fundamental fields such as Biology, Chemistry, and Public Health, is required by the starting date of the appointment for each position.
