Under the supervision of the Director of Undergraduate Admission for External Affairs, the Associate Director Admissions Visitor Services manages the daily operations for the visitor center. Responsible for ensuring the facility is maintained at the highest standards and ready to welcome guests to campus. Working closely with Information Services and the on-site AV technician to ensure the equipment is continually operational. Working in partnership with the Director of Undergraduate Admissions for External Affairs, and the Director of Undergraduate Marketing develop and execute a plan for on-going development and growth of the content delivered through the technology platforms. Will develop and implement on-campus visitor center based programs for prospective and admitted students, their families and counselors. Working in conjunction with the academic departments to provide appropriate programming to meet their enrollment goals. The Associate Director Admissions Visitor Services will serve as a liaison between Undergraduate Admissions and various University constituents as it relates to visit programming and opportunities for collaboration. Will develop and administer a process for ongoing assessment of all programs, services, including assessing the staff and students in the context of these programs and services. The Associate Director Admissions Visitor Services will serve as the senior staff member in the Visitor Center and an active member of the unit’s management team and other internal and external teams as required. Under the supervision of the Director, oversee a portion of the Admissions budget allocated to the visitor center and programs. Some evening and weekend hours required.
Bachelor’s degree required. 5-7 years of relevant experience and an advanced degree is preferred; Strong presentation, process management, organization, short-term and long-range planning, communication, analytic, interpersonal, and student development skills, and the ability to supervise and set priorities are required. A successful candidate will be a team player with a strong work ethic, who actively contributes to the office welfare in a high volume, fast-paced environment. Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively across units and is sensitive and responsive to the needs of diverse constituencies required.
