Position Summary:

The expanding Department of Physical Therapy in the Bouvé College of Health Sciences at Northeastern University invites applications from highly motivated candidates for a full-time, tenure-track faculty appointment at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor to begin September 2013. The position will have the general responsibilities of tenured and tenure-track faculty in the department. This includes developing and leading an independent and externally grant funded research program; participation in collaborative research with others in the department, college, university, and other research partners; teaching in current and planned degree programs; and college/university service. Candidates that are eligibility for physical therapy licensure in Massachusetts are preferred. The department is looking to expand its senior tenured faculty with research topics relating to musculoskeletal biomechanics, injury prevention, rehabilitation, ergonomics, workplace health and wellness.

Qualifications:

Candidates must have a doctoral degree in Physical Therapy, or a closely related field such as biomechanics, injury prevention, rehabilitation sciences, and ergonomics with a proven and active track record of scholarly activity including publications, successful research program, and history of extramural funding.
