Position Summary:

The Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences at Northeastern University has a new full-time tenure-track or tenured faculty position with appointment at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor. Responsibilities include the maintenance of a program of independent and collaborative scholarly work, including original research supported by external funding. The candidate should have demonstrated research productivity through a focused research program in environmental toxicology, and complement the department’s existing strengths in drug discovery/medicinal chemistry, neuropharmacology, inflammation and immunology, as well as in targeted drug delivery, diagnostics, and nanomedicine. The successful candidate will be expected to establish an extramurally-funded research program, participate in professional (PharmD) and graduate (MS and PhD) teaching, and provide service. Applicants with current transferable funding will be given a priority.

Qualifications:

The candidate must have a terminal terminal degree (Ph.D., D.Sc etc) with demonstrated scientific strengths that complement the Department faculty expertise in Drug Discovery, Development, Diagnostics, and Delivery and teaching experience to graduate and undergraduate students. The candidate must have experience in, or commitment to working with diverse student populations and/or in a culturally diverse work and educational environments.
