The Assistant Sports Performance Coach works under the direction of the Associate Director of Sports Performance. This position will provide performance training for assigned teams and assist in the continued development of Northeastern Sports Performance training philosophy through research, continued education, as well as administrative support. This includes comprehensive year long program design for all Northeastern varsity teams. Assistant performance coaches will also be responsible for administrative duties assigned by supervisors.
Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, Physical Education, or a related field; up to two years related work experience, preferably in a collegiate setting; NSCA certification; familiarity with use of weight/strength equipment; advanced speed, strength, and conditioning skills, strong interpersonal skills; knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations; must be able to work evenings and weekends as required.
