Under the direction of the Director of Career Services, initiate new employer relationships and broaden existing relationships with corporate, non-profit and governmental employers that results in increased full time and internship hiring of students and greater employer engagement within the broader Northeastern community. This position runs the On Campus Recruiting program and other recruiting efforts on and off campus to ensure efficient and productive employer engagement with Northeastern students and that appropriate, high quality, full time career opportunities are made available to our graduating students, both at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
Successfully represent the University to prospective and current employers, alumni and other external constituents, with particular emphasis on on-campus recruiting, and career fairs. Assist with assessing employer needs and convey employer expectations through close collaboration with career services staff, student groups, academic faculty and employer relations staff that results in increased career placement success for Northeastern students and graduates.
Proficiency in Microsoft applications is expected (Excel, PowerPoint, Access) as is proficiency with a wed based recruiting application, and management of databases. Evening work and travel is necessary and expected.
A minimum of two years work experience is required; preferably in a career center, recruiting or business environment. Bachelor’s degree required. Individual must have strong communication, outreach, and networking skills. This position requires a solid understanding and ability to use current technologies. Candidates must demonstrate strong organization skills, written and oral communication skills; the ability to oversee multiple tasks with attention to detail; a motivated/enthusiastic work style; and the ability to work in a fast paced environment with a broad range of internal and external constituents. Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Excel, Access, and PowerPoint) is expected.
