Under the supervision of the Dean of International Student Services and Enrollment, and the direct guidance of the Associate Director of Admission – International Recruitment and Admissions, the Assistant Director will design and implement an effective recruitment strategy within a specified International travel territory, and evaluate applicants for admission into the University. The Assistant Director’s recruitment strategy will include travel within territories to attract and subsequently enroll freshman and transfer students, counseling and advising students and families regarding the admission process, conducting interviews and presentations, maintaining relationships with guidance and transfer counselors, alumni volunteers, and managing their territory throughout the admission cycle. The Assistant Director will be responsible for coordinating and managing a specific constituent relationship or project, in addition to other duties as assigned. Actively contributes to the office welfare.
Bachelor’s degree required, with one to three years of experience in post-secondary admissions including knowledge and understanding of the needs of international students preferred. Admissions counseling experience, including recruitment, travel scheduling, student counseling, application evaluation, and small and large group presentations preferred. Proven ability to work independently, excellent communication and presentation skills, sensitive and responsive to the needs of diverse constituencies, and supervisory abilities required.
