The Department of Biology in the College of Science at Northeastern University seeks an Academic Specialist to undertake a wide range of responsibilities centered on undergraduate education in the biological sciences. Primary responsibilities will include teaching basic biology courses with emphasis on the first-year curriculum. Additional assignments in advanced topics will be determined in consultation with the Director of Undergraduate Studies and Department Chair. In addition to classroom instruction, this position will involve advising, curriculum design, assessment, and team coordination.
Applicants must hold a doctoral degree in Biology or a related field, and have substantial college teaching experience.
