Position Summary:

The Admissions Recruiter will be responsible for graduate and undergraduate recruitment initiatives for the College of Professional Studies and other programs/services offered through the Charlotte Campus. The individual in this position will attend, organize, and execute various recruitment events, including college fairs, open houses, on-line webinars and chats, as well as develop partnerships with other colleges and universities, organizations, and companies. The Admissions Recruiter will manage partnership follow-up and maintain a clean record of events and prospect conversions in order to increase student enrollment at the University.


The individual in this position will be expected to facilitate and develop internal and external partnerships and be able to create and implement new recruitment strategies to assist in the continued growth of the College of Professional Studies as well as the other Colleges represented at the Charlotte campus. This position will require extensive outreach efforts and interpersonal communications. The individual in this position will be a part of the overall recruitment team within the College of Professional Studies and also work closely with the Charlotte Campus staff by coordinating outreach activities, providing back-up walk-in coverage at the Charlotte campus, and participating in University-wide events, as necessary.


The Admissions Recruiter position will require frequent travel locally and nationally, to other Northesatern campuses, colleges and universities, organizations, and events. A flexible work schedule is required. The Admissions Recruiter must possess excellent communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills. The individual in this position must have the ability to work independently, as well as with teams of colleagues, and possess the aptitude for detail-oriented tasks. The Admissions Recruiter must also possess strong time management skills and have the ability to prioritize and balance responsibilities. The ideal candidate for this position will have 2-3 years of professional experience within higher education or sales, preferably working with diverse populations, which include adult and traditional age students (a working professional with an average of 5 years experience, most often 10-15 years experience) as well as international, transfer, and online students.

 

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree required. Minimum of two to three years of higher education or sales experience in a fast past work environment. The candidate must be professional and possess strong communications, recruitment, and customer service experience. Project management experience would be beneficial. Must be comfortable presenting information one-on-one and to large groups. Strong interpersonal, organizational, and multi-tasking skills are required. Must be detailed oriented and able to manage short deadlines. Self-motivation and the ability to perform without extensive direct supervision. Ability and willingness to work evening and weekend hours at various locations required.
