The primary purpose of this role is to support the Dean’s Office and contribute to the overall effectiveness and daily operations of the office. Provide support for the Senior Staff by maintaining calendars and scheduling meetings. Preparing documents (e.g. spreadsheets, PowerPoint presentations). Provide office reception and customer service to NU community and general public. Assist with preparation for college events and meetings (reserve spaces, order catering, etc.). Responsible for maintaining office supplies and equipment,as well as overall office maintenance (ordering repairs, cleanup, etc). Manage work-study students including recruitment, hiring, training, and supervision. Coordinate approval process for course/program proposals and revisions. Maintain email and contact lists, and assist with Dean’s Office communications. Assist with resolving technical/computer problems. Assist with making travel arrangements. Coordinate use of Dean’s Office conference rooms. Process incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries. Provide all necessary support for the effective operation of the Dean’s Office.
Associate’s degree or equivalent, Bachelor’s degree preferred. 1-2 years of experience in a customer service environment, preferably in higher education. Must be able to multi-task and work independently to manage responsibilities.
