North Idaho College is located in the midst of the recreational and scenic North Idaho region. Founded in 1933, North Idaho College is a comprehensive community college providing a wide array of academic, professional-technical, and workforce training programs. NIC enrolls approximately 5,700 students in its academic programs and totaled 8,000 course enrollments in various non-credit courses in 2008-09. NIC offers associate of arts and associate of science degrees in various college transfer programs, and associate of applied science degrees and technical certificates in its professional-technical programs.
