ASSISTANT VICE PRESIDENT OF ACADEMIC AFFAIRS (WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT)
ASSISTANT VICE PRESIDENT OF ACADEMIC AFFAIRS (WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT) - Full-time, 12 month, College funded administrative position reporting to the Vice President of Academic Affairs. The Assistant Vice President of Academic Affairs is responsible for the planning, direction, and administration of the College’s workforce and small business development programs, for maintaining a viable business and marketing plan to guide strategic and tactical planning in the growth of workforce and small business development services and for oversight of the Small Business Development Center. As such, the Assistant Vice President conducts environmental scanning and needs assessment studies to identify noncredit programming needed throughout the service area and provides the necessary leadership to develop, administer, and supervise customized workforce/small business development and continuing education programming to meet those needs. The Assistant Vice President works collaboratively with other administrators and faculty to develop sound, student performance-based curricula, obtains and administers contract and grant funding to provide workforce education training and services, and solicits alternative funding from viable sources to support strategic objectives. Serves as a member of the Academic Council. Annual salary is $72,000. Position is currently available.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s degree; five (5) years’ experience that demonstrates the ability to identify, develop and implement programs to adult populations that relate to workforce and/or business development; experience supervising staff personnel to include conducting evaluations.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS: MBA; five (5) years higher education administration experience, preferably at a community college (director level or above); experience working with business/industry training; teaching and/or training experience in corporate education.
