Organic Chemistry Laboratory Supervisor

Primary Function of Organization Unit: The research programs in the Department of Chemistry at North Carolina State University cover a diverse spectrum which include analytical, inorganic, organic, physical, biological, polymers, materials, nanoscience, theoretical, and magnetic resonance. Our award-winning researchers and teachers guide students through a broad rigorous curriculum and our graduates have been highly successful in both academia and in industry.
Essential Job Duties: Responsibilites include teaching selected sections of the organic labs, routine maintenance of instrumentation, supervision of daily operations of the organic chemistry teaching labs, maintenance of inventory, preparation of chemicals as needed, upkeep of the organic labs website, training and supervision of teaching assistants, and performing the duties of a safety officer. In addition individual will serve as coordinator of outreach activities for the FOX building, and will be expected to serve as building liaison.
Minimum Education/Experience: Minimum qualifications are a M.S. degree and two or more years of experience in an organic chemistry laboratory.
