Primary Function of Organization Unit: The Access and Work Load Services unit within the Shared Services Department of the Office of Information Technology is responsible for managing and maintaining the provisioning and de-provisioning of PeopleSoft and Unity identities, Electronic Data Interchange, batch processing for both administrative and academic applications and the design, distribution, security and archival of various University reports.
Essential Job Duties: The Operations & Systems Analyst is responsible for the functional administration of Tivoli Work Load Scheduler, Electronic Data Interchange, and Report2Web document design, archive and distribution software. As functional administrator, this position is responsible for maintaining the health of these applications, monitoring for error conditions, troubleshooting, scheduling software patches, testing, and leading upgrade efforts. This position is also responsible for training and assisting as necessary, staff and customers in the use of these systems. This position also works with customers and development staff in the design, security, distribution and archival of reports within the Report2Web system. Occasional overtime and rotating 24X7 on-call is required of the incumbent in this position.
Department Required Skills : Ability to administer third-party software such as Tivoli Work Load Scheduler or a comparable batch job scheduling package, report creation, distribution and bursting software, and Electronic Data Interchange maintenance and mapping software.
Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education: Three or more years experience administering third-party application software, such as job scheduling, Electronic Data Interchange and Report Distribution software.
