Primary Function of Organization Unit: The Department of 4-H Youth Development and Family & Consumer Sciences has a long history of quality programming in food safety. Of specific interest are the areas of foodborne illness risk reduction and safe food handling, storage, and preparation.
Essential Job Duties: Position will work in the areas of foodborne illness risk reduction and safe food handling, storage, and preparation. Position will work in these areas to explore new opportunities for the department and field faculty.
Minimum Education/Experience: * Master's degree in food safety or related food field

Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education: *Master's degree in food safety or related food field (PhD preferred, with 1-3 years of Assistant experience) *Past experience working in the area of food safety *Past experience or interest in food preparation/culinary arts *Past experience in training and/or teaching *Proven written and verbal skills * Past experience in writing for professional publication * Knowledge of the land grant system and/or Cooperative Extension
Necessary Licenses and Certifications: NC Driver's License
