Essential Job Duties: The new EcoVillage Director is a full-time, master degree required, position working jointly with University Housing and Academic Programs and services. This position manages and oversees a residential area housing approximately 127 undergraduate residents in Bragaw Residence Hall, which includes the new EcoVillage. The new EcoVillage Director selects, trains, supervises and evaluates EcoVillage staff; conducts regular staff meetings and one-on-one meetings with EcoVillage staff; coordinates and/or presents staff development training sessions; serves as the advisor to student EcoVillage committees; facilitates training and leadership development for Village students; meets regularly with and advises Village student leaders; attends and provides guidance during Village meetings and events. The position will chair the University EcoVillage Advisory Committee; develop programming and special events to support the learning outcomes of the Village; create opportunities for collaboration between EcoVillage stakeholders including faculty, staff, students and alumni; maintain a high level of visibility and develop positive working relationships with residents of the community; develop and administer Village assessment initiatives.
Minimum Education/Experience: A Master's degree (or higher) in Higher Education or field related to the environment, energy and/or sustainability by time of hire.

Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education: Prefer experience with student development and/or advising. Preference will be given to candidates who exhibit an understanding or experience with living and learning communities as well as creating enhanced academic programs and implementing innovative co-curricular experiences and working with high achieving students. Science background preferred.
