Primary Function of Organizational Unit:

Media Production Services supports video-based distance education and campus teaching and learning environments through logistics, training, and course production services.

Essential Job Duties:

The Director of Media Production Services directs the strategic planning, scope of services, and operations logistics for DELTA’s Media Production Services, with supervisory and administrative oversight of DELTA’s video-based distance education and campus course services and support, as facilitated by the Video Communications Services, Academic Technologies Coordination, Network Specialists, and Media Distribution Services units.

Minimum Experience/Education:

A Master’s degree in a relevant field (Media Production, Media, Instructional Technology, Business Management) or a Master’s degree with commensurate experience in one or more of these areas

Expertise in media technology
Knowledge of information technology
Knowledge of instructional technology
5 or more years of experience in production and operations services in a technology-focused educational environment
5 or more years supervisory experience
3 or more years budget management experience
Experience in developing production standards and quality control measures
Evidence of exemplary customer service ethic
Excellent verbal/written communication skills

Departmental Required Skills:

Strong organizational skills
Strong evidence of collegiality and interpersonal skills
Ability to assess equipment and media performance
Familiarity with video production and streaming media technologies
