Primary Function of Organization Unit: Corporate Alliances is the primary point of interaction for engagement with potential industry sponsors and works closely with Sponsored Programs And Regulatory Compliance Services, as well as the Office of Technology Transfer.
Essential Job Duties: Position will be responsible for the negotiation of industry sponsored research agreements for programs initiated by NCSU faculty and staff. Will serve as the primary contact for faculty interested in exploring/initiating research relationships with corporations. Assist with corporate components of large-scale grants and contracts. Identify, plan, and implement strategic engagements with key corporate partners.
Minimum Education/Experience: Qualified candidates will have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree with at least three years of university and/or industry technology transfer or industry sponsored research negotiation experience.
Department Required Skills : The successful candidate must have the ability to converse effectively regarding technical/scientific topics. Additionally, the successful candidate must possess excellent interpersonal skills, outstanding oral and written communication skills, proven organizational skills, as well as the ability to interact with both internal and external constituents.
Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education: Preference will be given to candidates with an advanced technical degree and/or JD or MBA.
Necessary Licenses and Certifications: Valid NC Driver's License required within 60 days of hire.
