Primary Function of Organization Unit: The Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures at North Carolina State University teaches courses in 15 different languages and offers a Bachelor of Arts degree in French, German Studies and Spanish, plus Minors in 11 different languages. We offer content-based courses in Tourism, Business, Medicine and associated certificates. We also offer Master of Arts degrees in French and Spanish.
Essential Job Duties: Assist with foreign language instruction in the Department of Foreign Languages for the period May 15 to June 30, 2013. Work with instructor to develop activities in line with the course syllabus. Under the supervision of the instructor of record, conduct and animate morning or afternoon sessions introducing students to the use of the target language in various cultural situations.
Minimum Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in related field or documented, equivalent education and specialized experience in specified language. Native or near-native fluency in either Arabic, Chinese, Persian, or Russian. Expertise in the culture associated with the target language in question.
