Primary Function of Organization Unit: The EAS Department at NC State supports enterprise applications across the campus such as the Advancement, Finance, HR, Non-Credit Education, Student, Imaging, Portal and Business Intelligence Systems.
Essential Job Duties: Provide technical support to the PeopleSoft HCM system at NC State University. The employee is expected to have a high level of technical expertise in PeopleSoft's Application Tools including Application Designer, SQR, PeopleCode, AppEngine, Application Packages, Integration Broker and Component Interface. As a Technical Project Lead, the employee is expected to mentor junior members of the team, develop solutions to complex business requirements and support the production system.
Department Required Skills : Experience with PeopleSoft Enterprise HRMS in an IT Analyst, Senior developer role, or consulting role is required. This position is expected to have strong PeopleSoft application development and programming skills, but also to have functional/business analysis capabilities.
Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education: Preference will be given to candidates with: - Five or more years of experience with PeopleSoft Enterprise HRMS in an IT Analyst or Senior developer role, or consulting role. - Substantial experience working with the core HR modules (including multiple jobs and position management), Base Benefits, Learning Management, Talent Acquisition Manager, and/or Absence Management, Time and Labor and experience with creating and maintaining interfaces to external vendors. Candidate should be experienced in implementation, upgrade, and support of these modules. - Experience in a Higher Education environment - SQL, PeopleSoft Query and PeopleSoft Security experience - Experience developing applications and processes with SQR, PeopleTools, PeopleCode, Application Engine, Application Messaging, Application Packages, XML Publisher and Component Interface technology - Experience with Oracle RDBMS - Skill in application Quality Assurance, including development and execution of test plans. - Excellent oral and written communication skills - Knowledge of JAVA, STAT, SmartERP, PL/SQL and PERL is a plus.
