Primary Function of Organization Unit: The Department of Civil, Construction, and Environmental Engineering offers undergraduate degrees in civil engineering, construction engineering and management, and environmental engineering. Seven graduate programs are offered in computing and systems, construction engineering and management, water resources, coastal and environmental engineering, structural engineering and mechanics, transportation systems and materials, and geotechnical/geoenvironmental engineering. Essential Job Duties: Candidates will be considered at all ranks. Applicants with an established record as full professor can be considered for the title of Edward I. Weisiger Distinguished Professor in CEM. Applicants at the associate professor level can be considered for the time-limited title of Edward I. Weisiger Distinguished Scholar in CEM. We are seeking colleagues to join a vibrant department with 47 faculty members, over 800 undergraduates and 315 graduate students. The successful candidate will be expected to develop and maintain a nationally recognized research and educational program and teach graduate and undergraduate courses. Applicants with analytical, computational and/or experimental expertise consistent with CEM are encouraged to apply. Applicants with expertise in sustainable and resilient infrastructure and construction innovation are of particular interest.
Minimum Education/Experience: An earned doctorate degree in civil engineering or a closely related field is required.
