Primary Function of Organization Unit: The Golden LEAF Biomanufacturing Training and Education Center (BTEC) is a unique, cross-disciplinary instructional center that provides educational and training opportunities to develop skilled professionals for the biomanufacturing industry. BTEC's audience includes NC State students and professionals already involved in biomanufacturing or related industries. BTEC also provides bioprocess development and analytical services to a wide range of customers from academia and industry.
Essential Job Duties: This position will coordinate/manage all aspects of BTEC's professional development (i.e., short course) program. Key duties include leading marketing activities, managing all activities required for development and delivery of courses, and writing proposals for courses.
Minimum Education/Experience: * MS degree or higher in education, engineering or life science ** * Prior experience with training and/or training programs for the biomanufacturing industry **Required degree must be completed prior to start date
Department Required Skills : * Proficiency with MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint. * Good written and verbal communication skills. * Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work with students from universities and industry. * Ability to work both independently and as a team member as needed. * Must be self-motivated.
Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education: * Experience in the biomanufacturing industry, specifically in production of biological products. * Prior experience with marketing and promotion of programs and courses. * Experience developing curriculum and/or training materials.
Necessary Licenses and Certifications: Must have valid drivers license for off site visit to current and future clients.
