This job expired 2 months ago.The Student Finance Representative III serves as an advanced financial aid packager and regulatory researcher. The role requires preparation of financial aid awards, reviewing financial aid eligibility with students, and ensuring awards are compliant with federal and state regulations. This position also works directly with other departments including academic advising, registrar's office, and enrollment. This position is the primary back up for the Financial Aid Manager.
This individual will serve as both an undergraduate and graduate financial aid packager. Will be responsible for preparing financial aid awards and research regulations. Will serve as primary person who reviews required classes with academic advisors, students, and other colleagues to ensure classes are necessary for degree in order to fulfill regulation requirements; This individual will be solely responsible for managing the process in Banner to generate financial aid award letters. Troubleshoots problems during process, review letters for accuracy before they are sent to students. Run process in MS Access to generate email notification to students; Manage Florida State Grant process. Run term reports to find students who are eligible for grants, review accounts and award as appropriate. Report awards through Florida website and work directly with Florida Department of Education; Act as student finance liaison with enrollment team to create informational materials for programs and special groups, such as AUSL, that review financial aid eligibility requirements and award amounts; This individual will serve as a point person when financial aid counseling with students needs to be escalated to a person with expansive knowledge of federal and state regulations. Explain regulations, award amounts, and process to accept aid; Work on new projects for the department, such as TEACH Grant implementations.
Bachelor’s degree with minimum two years of related experience. Proficient in Microsoft Office. Strong communication skills. Ability to interpret and apply Title IV federal regulations to NLU educational delivery calendar. Requires the ability to manage many tasks and responsibilities simultaneously. Ability to utilize multiple electronic tools and data systems. Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external partners.
