Assistant Professor of Education in Special Education/Special Education
Mount Saint Mary College is a private liberal arts college located in New York’s scenic and historic Hudson Valley, 60 miles north of New York City. With 2,700 students attending both day and evening programs, and a student-faculty ratio of 15-1, the atmosphere at the Mount is close and personal. The college offers over 50 undergraduate programs, including business, communication arts, education, health professions and social sciences, and graduate degree programs in business, nursing and education.
The Division of Education at Mount Saint Mary College seeks applicants for a one year full time faculty position in special education or special education/literacy to teach undergraduate and graduate courses with embedded fieldwork supervision. Candidates seeking this position should have an earned doctorate in special education with teaching experience in K-12 schools with diverse populations. Candidates should have a strong theoretical background and knowledge of research-based assessments, methods, and strategies for teaching all learners. Candidates will be expected to contribute to the college community.
