Mount Aloysius College, a private, Catholic, liberal arts College, located in Cresson, PA, invites applications for a full-time Division Chair to lead and oversee the College’s Humanities and Social Sciences Division .

The Division Chair provides academic and administrative leadership to the Division with regard to curriculum, instruction and evaluation to ensure the academic integrity of assigned programs and a quality educational experience for students.

The Division Chair serves as the liaison with accrediting bodies and will have extensive knowledge of accreditation processes and standards. The successful incumbent will provide leadership and oversight to advance the strategic goals and objectives of the Division and the College. Reports to the Sr. VP for Academic Affairs and is fiscally responsible for the budget for the division. Also serves on various College committees including Division and Academic Council, among others.

Responsible to manage/supervise approximately 32 faculty and staff employees in the following academic departments: Education, American Sign Language, Business, Criminology, Psychology, Legal Studies, English, Religion and History/Political Science.

Doctorate degree required. 5-7 years progressive experience in higher education administration. Extensive experience with program evaluation, curriculum design, and program accreditation required. Faculty rank contingent upon qualifications. Demonstrated management/supervisory experience. This position offers an 11-month administrative appointment with some teaching responsibilities to be determined by need and field represented.
