This professional staff member reports to the Director of Student Financial Assistance for all assigned functions and is responsible for the administration and coordination of all systems-related areas, with supervisory responsibilities; is an integral member of the management team, expected to contribute to office decision-making processes, provide honest and clear feedback on office policies and procedures, be able to work cooperatively with management team; assume leadership and decision-making responsibility in any situation when director is unavailable.

Associate/Senior Associate Director to coordinate/conduct business process reviews to streamline processing; develop long-range plans for office automation to enhance customer services and ensure compliance; supervise all systems-related areas including maintenance and testing SCT Banner modules, PC support and reporting; develop policies and procedures related to the systems areas; participate in office policy and procedure development and analysis; supervise the Direct Loan processing area; prepare requests and report for federal funds; assist with management of federal and institutionally-based funds; serve as liaison to other campus offices; review data requests; assist with outreach activities; train office staff; assist with financial aid counseling; other duties as assigned. Require: For appointment as Associate Director: bachelor’s degree; minimum of three years of current experience in student financial aid; knowledge of systems and data processing techniques, as demonstrated by experience in the administration of an automated system. For appointment as Senior Associate Director: bachelor’s degree; minimum of five years of current experience in student financial aid; advanced experience in the administration of an automated system, which would include creating and executing test plans, maintaining system tables/functions and experience validating system performance. Required of either appointment: excellent analytical, interpersonal, organizational and planning skills; demonstrated ability in oral and written communications; experience in staff supervision; ability to work cooperatively with others; demonstrated leadership abilities. Desire: master’s degree; experience supporting the SunGard Higher Education Banner financial aid software. Salary range: $56,000-61,000.
