POSITION: Dean of Institutional Advancement

MINIMUM
QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s degree in a relevant field and six or more years’ professional experience in higher education including experience in fund-raising and development for the public sector or non-profit boards and foundations, with at least three years of supervisory experience required.
Manchester Community College is seeking an experienced and innovative leader with demonstrated expertise in fund-raising; grant writing; fund-oriented strategic planning; non-profit Foundation experience; alumni development; major gift development; marketing; public relations; communications, events management; and community engagement. The successful candidate must demonstrate a high level of analytical ability, a collaborative and collegial management style, excellent and transparent communication skills, computer literacy and the ability to forge effective working relationships with a broad range of internal and external constituents. An understanding of, and commitment to, the mission of the community college, and a demonstrated ability to respond to and work with multiple constituencies and involvement in support of a culturally and ethnically diverse population are essential.

RESPONSIBILITIES: The Dean of Institutional Advancement, reporting to the President of the College, provides college-wide vision, leadership and strategic direction, and is a member of the President’s Cabinet. The Dean of Institutional Advancement provides for the long-term financial support of the College from sources external to the College’s regular funding through effective performance in the areas of identifying and developing funding sources; cultivating and soliciting voluntary fund sources; managing, allocating, safeguarding and accounting for development funds. In addition, the Dean of Institutional Advancement oversees the Marketing, Public Relations and Communications Department. Incumbent will support the MCC Foundation, serve as legislative liaison for the College and engage our community partners in support of the College strategic plan.
MINIMUM SALARY: $100,684 approximate annual; excellent benefits.
