Program Coordinator, New Student Orientation (#12735) KW

Leads all aspects of planning and execution of the fall, spring and summer Student Orientation programs, including possible family, transfer and non-traditional student orientations.
Directs all logistical aspects of orientation planning including space, equipment and technology requests.
Arranges staffing for planned orientation programs and events to include both full-time staff coverage and student staff responsibilities. Coordinates the recruitment, selection and training of student orientation leaders.
Assists campus leadership in Student Life with the orientation budget.
Responsible for ongoing oversight of the orientation leader team including meetings, trainings, student work hours and/or required scholarship reporting. Provides reports and information on program to internal and/or external customers, agencies and departments.
Manages a marketing and promotion plan for orientation programs, including production of printed materials, development of student and staff correspondence, as well as timely and appropriate updating of the orientation webpage
Oversees development and revision of program learning objectives and works with appropriate team members to ensure proper assessment and reporting activities. Prepares year-end report, providing analysis and recommendations for future actions and improvements of the program.
Chairs a campus-wide Orientation Task Force in an effort to engage the campus in orientation efforts and to regularly communicate upcoming programming and advising activities. Collaborates with System wide On-Line Orientation Task Force to ensure that students’ needs are reflected in the development and improvement of the LSCS On-Line Orientation
Works with various academic and student service offices to facilitate communication of available resources including material requests as appropriate.
Works with various college departments to coordinate special projects or unique new student or parent/family program events.
Provides insight about college life, presents Financial Aid options and consequences, and fosters a positive transition to LSCS for new students.
Responsible for other reasonable, related duties as assigned.
Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution and at least 3 years of experience in a related area
