Faculty, Engineering (#9093) UP
Job Functions;
Develops and teaches Engineering, Engineering Technology courses.
Assists in program development for the Engineering certificates and degrees.
Provides instruction in Manufacturing Processes, Electrical/Electronic Systems, Fluid Mechanics/Hydraulics and Pneumatics, PLC's, Motors, Technical Math, Blueprint Reading.
Advises adjunct faculty in related engineering courses.
Submits timely required college reports and forms.
Develops and utilizes a course syllabus for each course following established institutional guidelines.
Provides timely, quality access to students through electronic communication and other appropriate methods.
Evaluates students by a variety of means to measure their progress in achieving course objectives and inform them in a timely manner of their progress. Advises students in workforce program and academic matters.
Maintains professional relationships with students, colleagues, and the community.
Completes required district training and campus orientation.
Responsible for professional development and institutional service as determined in consultation with the Dean.
Responsible for other reasonable, related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications;
Master’s degree in Engineering or Master’s degree with 18 graduate hours in Engineering, Mechanical/Industrial Engineering, or Mechanical/Industrial Engineering Technology.
At least 3 years in the respective field.
LSC-Online certification or a commitment to obtain certification within 12 months of employment.
Salary;
Starting salary is commensurate with qualifications.
