Assistant Professor, Justice, Law and Public Safety Studies

Lewis University’s Department of Justice, Law and Public Safety Studies invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure track Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice position for fall 2013. Applicants must have a PhD in Criminal Justice or Criminology. The applicant must be able to teach a variety of undergraduate and graduate courses including criminology and must be proficient in both qualitative and quantitative methods with an active research agenda. The teaching load is four courses (12 credit hours) per semester.
The Justice Law and Public Safety Studies Department offers bachelors degrees in Criminal/Social Justice, Forensic Criminal Investigation, and Fire Service Administration. Graduate degrees are also offered in Criminal/Social Justice and Public Safety administration.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: PhD in Criminal Justice or Criminology. Must be able to teach a variety of undergraduate and graduate courses including criminology and must be proficient in both qualitative and quantitative methods with an active research agenda.
