Minimum Qualifications: A Bachelor's Degree in business, marketing, public administration, education, educational administration or related field required. 2-5 years of relevant work experience in administrative/managerial position, preferably in an academic environment required.
Responsibilities: This position will maximize the college's exposure and market penetration by analyzing regional community needs and growth trends in the Northern part of the six county service area; coordinating with internal resources, courses, and curriculums; or recommending and developing resource solutions if not currently available, while maintaining superior customer service and overseeing the day-to-day operation and supporting sound operational standards for the facilities. This includes developing instructional plans for the region and representing the college in the community and with diverse constituencies, as well as making recommendations on decisions related to college functions and goals. The Northern region includes six small learning centers, ITV network class and one large full service Learning Center at the Clinton County Center in St. Johns. This position would include community outreach, marketing, recruiting, instructional planning, supervision and instructional support of all programs in the region. Essential Duties: Analyze regional trends and increase market penetration and student enrollment in the northern region of the college service area through communication with business and community leaders and coordination of community needs and academic programming. Perform and implement instructional planning for the region. Represent the college in regional initiatives, making recommendations for aligning community needs with institutional priorities. Perform community outreach to initiate partnerships and cooperative agreements to benefit students and the college. Advocate with recommendations for the development, expansion, and support, of course offerings on a regional level, based upon community needs and trends for the Clinton County Center and all Off Campus Other sites. Promote non-traditional configurations for instruction, such as self paced classes, independent learning opportunities, community education, continuing education, computer-based courses, and open-entry, open-exit classes. Develop and execute niche marketing concepts and programs to recruit students, while jointly promoting academic programming. Work with local business and industry to identify and recommend programs for development which will meet employer needs and support local economic development. Coordinate Student Service functions to include admission, testing, registration, advising, orientation, financial aid, career planning, and employment and job seeking skills, as well as development of services and referral systems to support the student population. Administer on-site center needs, coordinating multi-departmental usage and requirements, program upgrading, and maintenance. Execute facility-related administrative duties including: budget development and control; petty cash and registration payment security procedures; facility maintenance, security and maximum productive use. Determine enrollment goals and market implementation. Directly supervise support staff, student staff, and other coordinators. Complete data reporting functions for all extension centers in accordance with guidance provided by the Extension Centers Director and develop and recommend ideas and strategies for the northern region performing long range and facilities planning for growth and expansion. Perform scheduling coordination between all extension centers and divisional and departmental staff.
