This is a new administrative, full-time, 12-month position in the Office of Admissions, developed to acknowledge the global reach and focus of the college. The position reports to the Director of Admissions but will work closely with the Director of International Admissions. Duties and responsibilities as an Associate/Senior Associate Director of Admissions include, but are not limited to, representing Kenyon at high school visits, college fairs, and other off- and on-campus recruiting events; interviewing prospective students; evaluating first-year and transfer applications; responding to concerns or inquiries from prospective students, parents, high school counselors, coaches, alumni/ae, and other constituencies; and other projects or responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Admissions. Eight to ten weeks of travel per year, concentrated in the fall and spring, with frequent Saturday morning and weekday evening work, especially during fall recruitment travel, application reading from November through March, and yield events in April.

As Associate/Senior Associate Director of International Recruitment, the primary role is to work with the Director of International Admissions to develop and execute a strategic plan for successful international recruitment. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to, managing a global recruiting territory; traveling extensively within and beyond the United States; maintaining current contacts for the college across the globe; exploring and developing new markets around the world; serving as the point person for all international applicants; utilizing current international students, international alumni/ae, and faculty who may be traveling abroad in our recruiting efforts; incorporating technology and social media as recruiting tools; and mentoring the rest of the staff on evaluating international students studying in the US. The position will also build strategic relationships with a broad range of partners who can direct capable students to Kenyon, serve as the main liaison in the admissions office to the United World Colleges, serve on the Davis Scholars committee, and work with the Center for Global Engagement on a variety of projects, including international student orientation.

Salary and title are commensurate with background and experience. Ideal start date is July 1.

Minimum Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is required, with preference given to those with advanced degrees. A valid driver's license and passport are also required. Candidates must be in a position to pass Kenyon's driver certification.

Preferred Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, both in writing and speaking; great organizational skills with meticulous attention to details; and strong interpersonal skills (a sense of humor is a plus). This individual should possess a strong sense of initiative and should be able to juggle multiple responsibilities simultaneously while working independently with minimal supervision or in a team setting. The ideal person will also exhibit a genuine curiosity about the world, a creative and collaborative approach to problem solving, ability to analyze data to assess admission trends, and a high level of computer literacy. An understanding of and appreciation for the values of a residential liberal arts college are essential. Proficiency in additional languages, experience in the international school environment, and familiarity with various international educational systems and testing requirements are desirable. Five to eight years recruiting and/or college counseling experience in an internationally diverse higher education setting is preferred, but not required.

Work Hours: Normal college business hours in addition to eight to ten weeks of travel per year, concentrated in the fall and spring, with frequent Saturday morning and weekday evening work, especially during fall recruitment travel, application reading from November through March, and yield events in April.
