Kenyon College invites applications for the position of Assistant Football Coach (Intern). Kenyon is a highly selective liberal arts college of 1600 students, is a Division III member of the NCAA and is a founding member of the North Coast Athletic Conference. Kenyon offers twenty-two varsity sports, eleven for men and eleven for women. The College is located in the beautiful village of Gambier, 50 miles northeast of Columbus, Ohio.
Responsibilities of the intern coaching position include: assist with all phases of coaching a successful college football program in the North Coast Athletic Conference and NCAA Division III; specifically assisting the head coach in the instruction of student-athletes during practice and competition, attending meetings, contributing to strong leadership of the team, mentoring, recruiting, strength training and conditioning, and other administrative duties as assigned by the head coach. Some travel is required for scouting, recruiting, and team travel.
This is a 10-month reporting position with benefits. Employment at Kenyon College is contingent upon a successful background check.
Minimum Qualifications: The successful candidate must have college football coaching experience, and a thorough understanding of a highly selective liberal arts institution that competes at the Division III level. A Bachelor's degree is required.
