Under the direction and supervision of the Assistant Vice President for Student Engagement and
Leadership Development, the Judicial Officer and Director of Women: (1) provides KSU students
with a consistent, centralized point of contact for questions, concerns and/or problems that they may
be experiencing on campus and (2) coordinates the First Year and Second Year Experience
programming, in collaboration with the University Ombudsman and Director of Men, the Director of
Student Life, and the Director of Residence Life.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.Administer all aspects of the University Disciplinary Procedures.

2.Oversee coordination of Title IX activities and compliance.

3.Train and coordinate all activities of the University Discipline Committee and the Student Court.

4.Update the Student Handbook and Student Conduct Code annually in coordination with the Assistant Vice President for Student Engagement & Leadership Development.

5.Prepare reports including the University disciplinary log and incident reports.

6.Coordinate and plan departmental programming and support services for women students such as: counseling, guidance, residential programming, and training in social and cultural values, conflict mediation, and disciplinary adjudication.

7.Administers discipline and behavior intervention, with emphasis on assisting students as they adjust or become acclimated with acceptable standards for student conduct and university community interaction.

8.Responsible for coordinating First Year and Second Year Experience programming along with the University Ombudsman and Director of Men, the Director of Student Life and the Director of Residence Life.

9.Responsible for the development and implementation of the university-wide Women’s Leadership and Mentoring Program (Women of Excellence).

10.Other related duties as required.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Master's degree with emphasis in College Student Personnel, Higher Education Administration,
Counseling, Education, Law or related field. 5 years progressively responsible work in a college or
university setting

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
•Knowledge and experience in crisis intervention
•Knowledge and experience in campus judicial work
•Strong understanding of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act, the CLERY ACT, as well as recent Title IX policy revisions
•Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills and the ability to relate to a variety of individuals in a diverse community.
•Demonstrated understanding of issues facing diverse student populations in higher education
•Experience working with student/youth mentoring programs and/or women's support groups
•Ability to work collaboratively across all institutional lines including a proven record of effective working relationships with faculty, athletics, law enforcement and service agencies
•Ability to use independent judgment and to manage and impart confidential information.
•Ability to coordinate and organize meetings and/or special events.
•Appreciation and commitment to a research institution which provides a liberal arts education coupled with strong professional programs
•Experience hiring, evaluating, supervising, and training of staff

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:
• Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.
• No or very limited physical effort required.
• No or very limited exposure to physical risk.
