Keene State College houses approximately 2600 students in residential areas consisting of traditional residence halls, suites, apartment complexes, and houses. The Residence Director is responsible for facilitating a comprehensive student development program in a specific residential area. This includes participating in the selection, training, and supervision of Resident Assistant staff and establishing the groundwork for the departmental community development model. Additionally, the Residence Director position utilizes counseling, mediation, and advising skills in all aspects of their work, including on call responsibilities. Residence Directors serve as judicial hearing officers, members of divisional and college committees, and integral components of the college’s focus on advancing multiculturalism. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 2 years of residence hall experience required; preference will be given to those with post-bachelor’s residence hall experience. Master’s degree in Student Affairs, Higher Education or related field is desired. The successful candidates will possess knowledge of counseling practices; proven interpersonal and writing skills; supervisory experience; a commitment to a team-based philosophy; experience coordinating administrative functions for a facility; and proven experience developing and presenting educational programs. Starting Salary Range: $31,510-$35,600, complemented by a competitive benefit package.
