POSITION:DUAL CREDIT INFORMATION CLERK CPEXCA-CLRK02
STATUS:Part time
DEPARTMENT:Academic Excellence & Support.
DIVISION:Academic Affairs
CLASSIFICATION:Non-exempt
UNION:Non-union
REPORTS TO:Manager, Dual Credit & P-20 Partnerships
PLACEMENT: Clerical Grade 5
MINIMUM PAY RATE:$14.91 per hour

POSITION SUMMARY
Entry-level position consists of primarily morning and afternoon hours; hours may vary and may include occasional evenings, approximately 28 hours per week. Must have access to transportation and be willing to work at other campuses and district high schools when necessary. Excellent customer service, communication, organization and problem-solving skills are important. Initiative, attention to detail and accurate data entry skills are also key to the success of the individual in this position.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1.Assist Dual Credit Specialists and other staff with data entry and registration of high school students for dual credit courses, verifying accuracy of course rosters.
2.Accompany Dual Credit staff during high school outreach in-service visits and assist with resolving registration issues.
3.Communicate to instructors status of course rosters, midterm and final grade reminders and last day to drop dates.
4.Prepare mailings and assist in updating and maintaining databases.
5.Assist in the development and distribution of informational materials and class scheduling; maintain records and prepare reports; coordinate activities with appropriate college staff.
6.Participate in continued development and maintenance of Dual Credit website by identifying key information to be included on website, ensuring that high school and course offerings information is current and that Dual Credit policies and procedures are clearly communicated.
6.Communicate dual credit policies, procedures and course schedule information to high school instructors, facilitators and students.
7.Participate in staff meetings, in-services, and trainings as may be required.
8.Perform other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
1.High School Diploma or equivalent.
2.One (1) year of clerical/data entry experience.
3.Excellent customer service and phone skills.
4.Working knowledge of Access, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
5.Knowledge of modern office practices and procedures.
6.Attentiveness to detail, organizational skills and initiative, along with the ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism, discretion and impartiality.
7.Ability to handle multiple tasks and responsibilities simultaneously. Must become knowledgeable of college programs and services.
8.Good verbal and written skills, and ability and willingness to work cooperatively with a diverse population.
9.Access to transportation and a willingness to work at other campuses when necessary.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
1.Associates Degree.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
1.Normal office physical demands.
2.Ability to travel between campus locations and to and from community events.

WORKING CONDITIONS
1.Duties are performed indoors in the usual office environment.

They also contain information about crime statistics for the three previous years for all JJC campuses, property owned and controlled by JJC District 525 and on public property immediately adjacent to JJC campuses.
