Washington & Jefferson College invites applications for a three-year visiting position in Religious Studies, beginning fall 2019. Teaching responsibilities will include introductory courses in Judaism, Christianity, biblical studies, and special topics courses in the candidate's AOS. We are especially interested in candidates who can also contribute to interdisciplinary programs such as African-American Studies, Latin American Studies, and Interfaith Leadership Studies. PhD in Religious Studies or a related academic discipline by the time of the appointment is strongly preferred; advanced ABD candidates may also be considered.

Washington & Jefferson College is a private, residential, co-educational liberal arts college, with a 3-3 teaching load and class sizes of 15-25 students. It is located in Washington, PA, thirty miles south from a culturally rich metropolitan center of Pittsburgh.
