Gettysburg College is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Grants and Restricted Funds Accountant. This position assumes primary responsibility for coordination between the Division of Development, Alumni, and Parent Relations and the Finance Office on grants and restricted-fund accounting matters. Specifically, this position is responsible for the post-award process for Gettysburg’s external grants as well as monitoring other restricted funds. This includes responsibility for monitoring expenditures to ensure spending is aligned with the donor’s intent.  This position reports to the Director of Foundation, Government and Faculty Grants.
 

A bachelor's degree is required.  At least two to four years’ experience in higher education/grants/government accounting as well as practical experience with regulations and policies described in the Uniform Guidance is highly preferred. Coursework or a degree in accounting, finance, or related field is desired. Additionally, knowledge of government agencies, basic accounting principles, and research administration systems is preferred.  The successful candidate will have the ability to communicate well orally and in writing; to operate in an organized manner; to have attention to detail; to maintain confidentiality; to work cooperatively with a variety of individuals; and to work as a team member.
