Position Title: Administrative Support Intermediate

Division: Academic Affairs

Nature of Work

This administrative position is responsible for budget reconciliation, general office duties, class scheduling, p-card management, and Banner usage. This position is responsible for website administration, supervising approximately 10 student assistants and temporary positions. Responsibilities include keeping track of an astronomy student observation database only with maintaining and editing laboratory manuals. Provides support to department staff and faculty in regards to computer issues. Due to P-Card responsibilities, this position will require a credit check.

Required Qualifications

High school diploma and two to four year’s administrative experience, or a combination of training, education and experience. Prefer web page administration experience. Proficiency with MS Office. Candidate must successfully pass a background check and a credit check.

Preferred Qualifications

Prefer administrative experience in higher education setting.

Salary

$14.48 minimum - $17.85 midpoint

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions

The physical demands are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. While performing the duties, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to handle or feel and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 5 pounds and occasionally lift up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. The noise level is moderate. Reasonable accommodations can be made.
