<p>The Philadelphia VA Medical Center (PVAMC) and the Division of Renal-Electrolyte and Hypertension in the Department of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for several Assistant Professor positions in the non-tenure academic-clinician track. Applicants must have an M.D. degree and have demonstrated excellent qualifications in education and clinical care. Applicants should be board certified or board eligible in Nephrology.</p>

<p>The successful candidates will provide direct clinical inpatient and outpatient nephrology patient care at the Philadelphia VA Medical Center (PVAMC) as a renal consultant, managing patients with glomerular diseases, nephrolithiasis, electrolyte disorders, complex hypertension, chronic kidney diseases, and acute kidney injury, in a freestanding VA outpatient hemodialysis unit and in an acute inpatient dialysis unit. Experience in management of home dialysis patients including peritoneal dialysis and/or expertise in directing a home dialysis program, and/or a desire to develop a specialized expertise within nephrology or medical education is highly desirable.</p>
