General Summary

The Department of Geography & Geology is looking for qualified individuals to teach courses in Earth Science, Geology, Geography, Historic Preservation, and Urban & Regional Planning. Both lecture and laboratory course sections are available. Teaching assignments may exist at both the graduate and undergraduate level or be cross-listed at both levels. We currently are seeking candidates with academic expertise and teaching experience in Earth and Environmental Science, including soil science to apply.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Teaching may include a number of particular obligations which employees are expected to fulfill, including but not limited to: meeting with students during and outside of assigned classes, assessing student work and performance, preparing syllabi and course materials, providing copies of syllabi and course materials to their supervisor on request, and assigning and submitting grades in accordance with established Eastern Michigan University schedules.

Perform related duties as required.

Qualifications

We invite qualified individuals with a Master's Degree in a relevant content area to apply.

One year teaching experience is preferred.

Additional qualifications specific to area of assignment may be desirable.
