The University of Toledo Doctor of Physical Therapy Program is pleased to announce the opening of a 12-month, Associate/Assistant Professor tenure-track faculty position.  The start date for this position is July 2019 or later as negotiated.

The qualified candidate will have teaching responsibilities within the DPT curriculum and will be expected to develop/progress a focused and productive research agenda that is competitive for external funding.  Candidates must have an earned PhD or equivalent degree and be eligible for Physical Therapy licensure in the state of Ohio. 

The preferred candidate is one who has a record of successful external grant funding and two years of teaching experience in a DPT program. Opportunities for teaching are in the clinical courses and life span courses.  Candidates with expertise in other areas are also encouraged to apply. Opportunities for collaborative research exist within and across colleges of the University.  Opportunities to participate in clinical practice are also available.

The Doctor of Physical Therapy Program is part of the College of Health and Human Services, which is organized into four basic schools: Intervention and Wellness; Population Health; Social Justice; & Exercise and Rehabilitation Sciences, which houses the Doctor of Physical Therapy Program.  The program admits 28 DPT students per year. 

The University is accredited by The Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools and the DPT Program is accredited by CAPTE.
