The Department of Writing Studies at Montclair State University seeks adjunct instructors for the First-Year Writing program. Faculty will work in a large program committed to providing strong process-oriented writing instruction and support to diverse learners. Faculty will teach first-year writing courses including College Writing I (WRIT105) and College Writing II (WRIT106) depending on program need.

Qualifications & Requirements

Required qualifications for applicants include: MA or MFA or equivalent in Writing, English, or related field; record of success teaching first-year writing in a diverse, multi-ethnic environment; significant coursework and/or professional development experience in composition studies.

Salary Range

$4,200 per course, determined by state contract
