The Associate Dean, First Year Experience develops and plans new student orientations, Navigating Rensselaer & Beyond, Rensselaer’s unique orientation model for first year and transfer students, family relations programs and coordinates assessment and risk management strategies for all first year programs. In collaboration with the Advising and Learning Assistance Center (ALAC) the Associate Dean will coordinate the First-Year Intervention program to support students academically. The Associate Dean is also responsible for social media initiatives for the Office of First Year Experience.

Minimum Qualifications

•Master’s degree in College Student Personnel or Higher Education Administration, Counseling, or related field;
•Minimum 5 years experience with student development programs.

•Requires demonstrated oral and written communication skills.
•Requires planning, organizing and effective time management skills.
