Job Summary/Basic Function:
The University of North Texas (UNT) invites applications for an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biomedical Engineering (BMEN). We are looking for candidates with research accomplishments in one or more of the following areas: bio-3D printing, artificial organs, cancer research, neuroengineering and tissue engineering.

The candidate for the position in Biomedical Engineering is expected to teach BMEN undergraduate and graduate courses, develop a strong research program funded by external sources, support and mentor graduate students, and provide service to the University and the profession.

We are looking for a candidate who has an entrepreneurial spirit, is willing to build a research group around his or her research interests, and help establish and grow a new department and degree programs.

An offer of employment for this position will be made dependent upon available funding.

Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum qualifications include an earned doctorate in biomedical engineering or a closely related field.

We are looking for candidates with a strong publication record and the potential to succeed in securing research funding and mentoring graduate students.

Preferred Qualifications:
Post-doctoral research experience or industrial research experience
