Vice President of Instruction

Job description

The Vice President of Instruction is the chief instructional officer of the College reporting directly to the president and is responsible for all academic and nonacademic delivery of programs (curriculum) to ensure SACSCOC standards. Responsible for providing college wide leadership, supervision and direction for all educational programs. Provides leadership for ensuring that the College designs, develops and delivers a comprehensive array of instructional programs and services, which fulfills, the institution’s mission in the areas of developmental education, general education, transfer, vocational and technical training, continuing education and workforce and economic development opportunities. Oversees the development and delivery of college educational opportunities by ensuring educational programs that support the mission and goals of the college throughout the service area. Provides leadership for evaluating and ensuring quality in all aspects of the college's instructional and educational programs as well as the feasibility of curricula to meet the business and community needs. Recommends, develops and implements multiyear strategic and annual operational goals, instructional policies, procedures and practices, which foster and promote student learning success. Develops fosters and promotes new opportunities for educational partnerships with industry, public and private education providers, state and federal prisons, juvenile and alternative education opportunities, GED providers, and private sector entities. Supports the college compliance with SACSCOC standards, state and federal laws, standards, financial aid and grants. Ensures college remains compliant with all agency policies and procedures.
