Position Summary: The UNC Department of Family Medicine is looking for a tenure-track assistant professor, Family Medicine physician. Expertise in research with a track record of publications and grant awards required. Research experience around the primary care of older adults is desirable. Clinical areas of expertise to include the care of older adults, particularly home care and palliative care. Experience in multi-disciplinary clinical teams is useful, as well as experience in geriatrics or palliative care. Must be comfortable supervising nurse practitioners. Should have teaching experience with a variety of learners and an interest in teaching in the medical school

Education Requirements: A MD or DO is required. Candidates must be Board Certified or Board eligible in Family Medicine. Fellowship training and/or an advanced degree (e.g. MPH) is highly desirable but not mandatory. Board-certifications in geriatrics or palliative care is preferred, but not mandatory.
