Job Description:

The Department of Pathology, Immunology and Laboratory Medicine, College of Medicine, University of Florida invites applications for a Research Assistant Scientist, Non-tenure accruing faculty position with experience in human induced pluripotent stem cells and disease modeling. 

Advertised Salary:

Salary negotiable, commensurate with qualifications and experience.  

Minimum Requirements:

PhD in Immunology or Bio-Medical Science field with 3 years research experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Preferred candidate with several years research experience in human induced pluripotent stem (iPS) cells and disease modeling. This position requires development of funded research in collaboration in the area of disease pathology studies using patient iPS cells. Other qualifications should include:

  • Creativity in developing experimental strategies.
  • Multidisciplinary background in molecular and cellular biology/genetics.
  • An outstanding track record of publications.
  • Ability to supervise students expecially encouraged.
