Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the successful candidate will lead the accounting team, will be able to recommend improvements to the accounting processes that currently exist, and partner with all functional teams to support Company objectives.
The ideal candidate will have broad accounting experience, a proven record executing process improvements, and comfortable "rolling their sleeves up" and leading a team.
Lead preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with US GAAP, tax laws, and regulatory requirements.
Manage multiple location activities and proper accounting for all locations.
Manage, develop and mentor a team responsible for revenue recognition, GL, receivables, payables and fixed assets -- strong leadership skills are a requirement.
Set the strategic direction of the controllership function to support search for efficiencies in process and growth.
Build and develop strong relationships with internal and external business partners.
Manage tax preparation and annual reviewed financial statement preparation.
Improve and streamline financial processes. Making recommendations on areas that could save the Company resources
Provide accounting and operational leadership for possible system upgrade and provide feedback for consideration of ERP selection and install.
Key partner in the annual budget process.
Desired Skills and Experience:
Bachelors or Master's Degree in Accounting.
Manufacturing and multiple location experience preferred.
Proven leader with track record of effective coaching and development.
7+ years of increasing responsibility in accounting role; Prior team management experience is required.
Strong GAAP accounting knowledge.
Excellent communications and interpersonal skills.
Self-motivated and independent with a strong work ethic.
Experience scaling business processes and operating in environments that have achieved meaningful scale.
Attention to detail with ability to frame financial/accounting impact.
