Job Summary

Inspire Awesome with Eastern Washington University. We are currently seeking a Dining Room Snack Bar Lead. This position ensures that students and guests have a pleasant and memorable dining experience. This position monitors setup, maintenance, cleanliness and safety of dining areas. This position leads and trains the front of the house staff to Dining Services standards of excellence. This individual must assure the opening and closing duties/checklists are completed in a timely fashion. This individual must coordinate food service between kitchen and dining staff. This individual is the person in charge of the front of house operations and enforces Dining Services rules and policies. This individual will report directly to a Dining Services supervisor with reporting responsibilities to the Dining Services manager.

Required Qualifications:

Specific Position Requirements:
Valid Washington Driver's License
Valid Washington Food Handler's Permit
High School Diploma or GED
Two years of experience in food service work, including one year of lead experience, or equivalent education/experience.
Candidate must demonstrate interest, ability and/or experience promoting cultural competency and/or diversity.



Preferred Qualifications:

Culinary Arts Degree or AA degree in food service management
or
2 years of catering/banquet experience



Other Skills and Abilities:

Able to work at a rapid pace while maintaining attention to detail; ability to multi-task
Must have good supervisory skills.
Must have good communication and ability to promote sales.
Must be skilled in time management.
Must have teaching and motivational skills
